TOM LITTON
Tom Litton, well-known industry expert, heads the self-storage management division of Litton Management & Consulting Inc. Mr. Litton literally began his career in the self-storage industry in its infancy and has managed over 150 self-storage facilities in 11 states. He was
the Operations Manager for National Self Storage, based in Tucson,
Arizona. National was the 7th largest storage company in the U.S.
Most recently, Mr. Litton managed the Mister Space Self Storage
division of The Grupe Company, based in Stockton, California.
Currently, Mr. Litton fee manages and consults on a daily basis in the
United States, Australia, New Zealand, France, England, Scotland and
Canada. Mr. Litton has written over 100 magazine articles in 5 different
self- storage publications and newspapers including the San Francisco
Chronicle. Mr. Litton has also served on the editorial advisory board of
Inside Self Storage, a leading industry publication.
Tom will present information on the following topics:

This session will focus on changing demographics and how our market has evolved.

While selling delinquent tenants is the ultimate solution, the reality is that auctions spell

proven techniques for motivating customers to pay. In addition, this session will include
20 creative, proven and successful collection techniques that negotiate "win, win"
solutions for both the facility and the customer.
